Take action

In order to prevent mega trucks from becoming a reality on a European level, we have to be active nationally. The national transport ministers and national members of the European parliament all play an important role in the decision making process in Brussels

Our strategy therefore is: try and influence your country's transport minister; let your local members of the European parliament know about the dangers of mega trucks. Instigate a public debate in your country on the issue of mega trucks. Because the public does not want mega trucks on the roads – once they have heard about them. If we succeed in getting a public debate going on this issue, we will be halfway to winning the debate. This has been shown by successful campaigns that have already be fought in several European countries.

The internet is obviously the perfect place for creating networks. Provide a link to the NO MEGA TRUCKs campaign website on your organisation's homepage. You can use the campaign logo, which can be downloaded here:

Create networks and take joint action against mega trucks. Here you can find a list of organisations in your country that are also opposing mega trucks.
