No way: The British government announced its resistance against the EU-wide admission of LHVs.

15 Jul 2010. The newly-elected British government is opposing an admission of longer and heavier trucks (LHVs). According to the Minister of State for Transport, Theresa Villiers, mega trucks would damage rail freight's competitiveness and viability, furthermore they are also unsuitability for the use on UK roads.

During the conference “Rail Freight 2010” the Minister of State announced that any attempt to impose mega trucks on a European level will be vigorously resisted by the coalition government.

In case of an EU-wide admission the member states would have to allow the cross-border use of mega trucks – whether they like it or not.
